Bank Transfer Instructions

Shopify app for stores that allow payment by bank transfer.

Enable bank transfer

The Bank Transfer Instructions application is designed for stores that allow bank transfer as one of the payment methods for order payments.

After a simple setup, you will get:

  • A payment request including a QR code on the Thank you page and on the Order status page.
  • Request for payment in the order confirmation email.

Setup the app:

The prerequisite is that you want to enable payment for orders by bank transfer. You must therefore create an additional payment method for bank transfer in your store Settings/Payments.

Account settings

  1. In Payment method section, enter the name of the payment method you set up for bank transfer payment.
  2. In the Bank account section, provide details about the bank account to which you will receive payment for orders.
  3. In the Payment identifier section, you can set how the order number will be truncated to create a unique payment identifier. If you are unsure, leave both fields at 0.

Message settings

  1. In the Field settings section, you can select the texts that will appear in the payment request. Adapt the texts to the language of your store.
  2. In the QR section, you can enable and configure the display of the payment QR code. Use this option only where the SPAYD QR code is used (Czech Republic and Slovakia).
  3. In the Preview section, you will see how the payment request will be displayed to the customer on the Thank you page.

E-mail settings

Optionally, you can also add a payment request to a suitable place in the Order confirmation notification for the customer. A code to insert is available in the E-mail settings. Use this option only if you are an expert and understand the code in the email.

Adding to the theme

Go to your current Theme settings. Select Customize and go to Checkout and customer accounts. Add Bank account instructions to both Thank you and Order status pages.

Verification and test

Create a test order with bank transfer as the payment method. Verify that customers are seeing the correct payment instructions on the Thank you page, Order status page. If you have also modified the Order confirmation notification, check the confirmation email.
